MINUTES OF 1ST MEETING

SEPT.
18, 1931
By request of the people around the Fair View School house. The elders and Deacons of The Churches
named below. Met on Friday evening at 2:30 oclcok, Sept. 18, 1931 for the purpose of organizing a Missionary Baptist Church. Drury Dobbins, Rev. E.L. Mcdaniel, Roy Jones, J.W. Hawkins, L.B. Harris: Bethel, Rev. Z.D. Harrill,
J.M. Jones, G.F. Blanton, A.M. McKinney G. B. Pruett. Race Path, C. H. Padgett, L. P. Jolley, W. L. Luckadoo, George Jolley, B.B. Brooks, J.D. Allen and J. E. Street. Sandy Plains, Rev. W.S. Jones, Lattimore Rev. J.D. Harrill. Sandy Level, D. P. Horton. Henrietta, Rev. W.K. Wyatt and Rev. T. A. Drake, from S.C
These Bretherin formed themselves into a presberty, and on motion Rev. Z.D. Harrill was
appointed moderator, and Fred Toney Clerk, On motion all who had letters of dismisssion from Baptists Churches
in regular order presented them Charter Members And was received as following. J.S. Toney, Mrs. J.S. Toney,
Edley Toney Fred Toney Fay Toney, Grady Toney, Virgil Toney, Louisa Toney, R.V. Toney and Mrs. R.V. Toney. G.F.
Blanton, Mrs. G.F. Blanton, Edna Blanton, And Mable Blanton. G.W. Blanton, and daughter Ester Blanton. L.B. Harris,
Mrs. L.B. Harris, B.J. Harris, and Mary Joe Harris, Mrs. Maude McCraw, J.W. Hawkins, Mrs. J.W. Hawkins. J.K. Hawkins
and Etna Hawkins. B.B. Brooks. Mrs. B.B. Brooks, Graham Brooks, Louise Brooks, And Eugenia Brooks. D.C. Bridges,
Mrs. D.C. Bridges. O.L. Melton, and Mrs. O.L. Melton. On motion the above names were received, and welcomed
by the moderator. There was a move and a second that the Church be organized, and be called the Campfield Memorial
Missionary Baptist Church. After this the Deacons that had been received Namely, G.F. Blanton, L.B. Harris, O.L.
Melton, B.B. Brooks, and J.W. Hawkins, were appointed to recommend a pastor for the new Church. and Rev. W.K. Wyatt
was for pastor recommended. On motion Rev. W.K. Wyatt was Elected pastor for the next year, and Bro, Fred
Toney was Elected for Church Clerk, And on motion Bro. R.V. Toney, was elected Church Treasure On motion an
opportunity was afforded for any one wishing to join the church. The following names were received for Baptism. Miss Eunice Melton, Mr. Billy Horton, Mr. John Brooks, Mr. Clyde Cochran, Mr. Wilaird Melton. Mr. Buren Daves,
Mr. Byron Daves, Mr. Hicks Toney, Miss Loree Melton, Mr. Earl Murray, Mrs. W.F. Murray, Miss Ruby Murray, and Miss
Estell Lowery. Officers for the Sunday School and B.Y.P.U. by the church - On motion Bro G.F. Blanton was elected
Sunday School Superintendent and Fred Toney Secretary, and treasure, Also Bro B.B. Brooks. Was elected B.Y. P.U. Director----------------- Rev. Z.D. Harrill Moderator Fred Toney Clerk
